Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme
Window 8 has closed for application (as of 10th August) and we are in the process of carrying out work on sites which had been applied for in Window 7 & 8. For those who missed the deadline, the ENA have confirmed Window 9 is open for application - please see below for further information. We'd strongly recommend having the work carried out before March 2022, as the available funding does decrease as the programme winds down and closes in August 2022.
All owners of generation installed prior to February 2018 are required to ensure their G59 relays are compliant with the distribution code and have until 31st August 2022 to comply with these modified interface protection requirements.
At present there is funding via the Energy Network Association (ENA) which represents the interests of all energy network companies in the UK. The funding however is not limitless and there may be constraints on the number of applications that your DNO or IDNO is able to process in any given period. Applying as early as you can will increase the chance that you will be accepted for the programme.
Further information can be found on the ENA website. The ENA have confirmed that Window 9 is now open for application and closes 9th November 2021.
We are able to carry out the necessary setting changes to your G59 protection relay. If you would like us to carry out the work if you could please complete a Letter of Authority enabling us to do so and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are having difficulties finding your MPAN number, please find a handy guide on the SSEN website here.
For our regular customers, we will already have knowledge of your protection relays on site. For new customers, we would ask that you please provide details of the make and model of your external G59 relays and Invertors in the body of the email.
If you are unsure, please contact us to either talk you through the details or arrange for us to visit the site to obtain the required details.
