Window 10 has closed for application (as of 8th February). Window 11 is now live and open for applications from 9 February to 10 May 2022. Window 11 is the last window – no more applications for payment can be accepted after 10 May 2022. The programme is due to close in August 2022 with the DNOs now issuing letters advising of the Enforcement process for sites which are non-compliant, you can read further here.


All owners of generation installed prior to February 2018 are required to ensure their G59 relays are compliant with the distribution code and have until 31st August 2022 to comply with these modified interface protection requirements.

At present there is funding via the Energy Network Association (ENA) which represents the interests of all energy network companies in the UK. The funding however is not limitless and there may be constraints on the number of applications that your DNO or IDNO is able to process in any given period. Applying as early as you can will increase the chance that you will be accepted for the programme.
